<- Me
Just your every day typical coffee swilling, whisky sipping, rock climbing, split board sliding, alpine adventuring, veggie munching, sometimes bearded, house designing, trail running and pickle ball paddling kind of guy. Regardless if it’s an adventure to the summit or to the coffee shop there’s usually a camera at my side.
So what is this?
It’s a portfolio; a highlight reel of my work, a way to share my images with the world. It’s a blog; a way to share the knowledge and technique or my thoughts on a certain film stock or a lens, or personal accounts of the adventures that created the photos. It’s my outlet for all things photographic because only so many prints can fit on the fridge.
Why Type Two Photo? As any adventurer knows, fun comes in many flavours. Normal fun is the obvious kind that comes easy, while type two fun takes a little more effort. Often it’s only appreciated in hindsight once the suffering has passed. Finding the perfect hold to clip off when you just black out climbed a bunch of ugly crimps, reaching the summit just as the sun breaks through the clouds that rained on you the entire hike up, or how looking at a beautiful photo from a trip makes the unpleasantry of the blisters and 4AM starts fade away. Those are the best photos, the Type Two Photos.
